A Great Night with the Kids!!!
On Wednesday night we took the boys to the Tree House in Ogden for the "Mad Hatter's Tea Party"! We indeed got to go to wonderland and share in the story of Alice and all her crazy friends. The boys met the Queen of Hearts, the Rabbit, the Mad Hatter and the Hare, and of course the musical caterpillar. They began the evening with the Queen of Hearts trying their hands at her favorite rendition of croquet, Flamingoes and Hedgehogs! Of course the rules were that she had to win but it was fun none the less. The queen asked the children if they liked to play games and what games did they play. Children began naming Monopoly, hide 'n' seek, memory, etc! Then the queen asked Gage and he excitedly told her he loves to play the wii!!! The queen laughed and said she had a Wii too and that it was very fun. Leave it up to one of my sons and the Wii is ever present on their minds!!! The queen was getting a little worried by the time we were going to move to the Mad Hatter's because Isaac was getting very good at croquet and she didn't want to take off his head! (remember only the queen can win) He was proud though. Then we were off to make hats for the Mad Hatter's tea party. As we were making our hats the rabbit was playing hide and seek with the kids and finally Alice spotted him and she took off running after the rabbit and the boys though that was so hilarious. I wish i could have recorded their hysterical laughter!!! Then it was on to the tea party where the boys were instructed in proper tea party etiquette by the Mad Hatter and the Hare. And finally we ended in the magical forest with the caterpillar and his dum dums!!! They sang fun songs with nursery rhymes and the kids got an instrument to play along. The boys really enjoyed themselves and can't wait for their next trip to wonderland. It was a really fun night and we got to drive home in dumping snow and wind!!! At least the boys thought that was fun too...

Kids say the cutest things!
So last night we were eating dinner and Gage took a huge drink of water. He turned at me and with a huge smile said, " Mom, don't you love my water beard?" I saw water on the fine little hairs above his upper lip and it finally clicked...you know the ol' milk mustache!!! Except for his was a water beard. He makes me laugh!

Snow! Blah...
So it used to be that I really enjoyed snow days and it is not to say that I don't but the older my children are getting, the less they are enjoyable. So Isaac is out of school today due to Quality Teaching Day, and he is bored out of his mind. You see this could have been an awesome day if it had been warm and sunny! He could play outside all day with his brother and his friends and i wouldn't have to sit in the slump of "no more wii, no more t.v.!!!"What else can you do when it is 3o degrees outside and raining/snowing all day? The other half of the problem is that I have absolutely no energy and not a creative thought is passing through my head today!!! What do you do? Just get through this "blah" of a day and hope that someday soon we will see the sun and feel its warmth again! You know in about 3 months from now I will have the complaint of too much sun and heat...and so life goes!

Bridger is as big as the rest of em'!
Isaac has started into his new love of sparring at karate class!!! They are required to wear special protective gear to ensure their safety as they are learning the new techniques. Isaac had his first fight just yesterday and he actually scored a point!!! That is really great especially being his first time...his competitor scored 2 points. ( the match is best of three) I was so proud of him! He really seemed to enjoy himself and can't wait for next weeks sparring class. His gear has been laying around the house for the last week or so and Bridger has also discovered a love for sparring with his Dad ( somehow they always involve me as well!). He puts the huge helmet and hand guards on and just goes to town....he really lights up and it has been so much fun to watch. I know that it has been far too long since the last post but we are back on the wagon and keep watching for updates!!! We love all of our family and are so grateful for all of our blessings...including all the small moments that we share here at home with our beautiful children. (remember to turn the sound down on the music player so you can hear the movie with Bridger!)
